Unnamed Alice in Wonderland Re-Imagining
My most recent concept has wound up being an Alice in Wonderland story. There have been hundreds of re-imaginings of it already, but I still think that I could make use of it. This is going to be one that I really want to have fun imagining, as that's part of the essence of Alice in Wonderland too, don't you think?
*Ehem* Anyways, I really ought to streamline these things nice and early before I wind up caught in an endless cycle of making them rants...
Currently Unnamed Alice Re-Imagining:
Story Synopsis:
(Unamed Main Character) has largely been confined to hospitals for most of his life. Though fiercely analytical and rather easy to get along with, his constance movements between hospitals has convinced virtually everyone that he's faking it as a way to get preferential treatment, and as such even his friends have distanced themselves from him. One day, he finds himself in a strange place known as "Wonderland", and spends a day there. At the end of day, he finds himself back in the hospital, and begins meeting people strangely similar to the people in "Wonderland".
Characters (by Title):
Alice: (Reality Equivelant: Protagonist)
Highly analytical and a bit of a slacker, Alice is more likely to ask why things are the way they are than actually try to change anything. Regardless, when he winds up in Wonderland inexplicably being blamed for whatever problems are in it, he finds himself being forced to do what he can to prove himself innocent - even though it seems that the attempts to prove himself innocent seem to be to fix the problems that are there instead.
*Note: Alice is a title, rather than an actual name. This is important.*
The White Rabbit: (Reality Equivelant: ???)
Currently completely undeveloped. But it will be there.
The Cheshire Cat: (Reality Equivelant: ??? (Need to pick out around three different types of craziness; Already have permanent Mixed-Type Bipolar Disorder)
The Cheshire Cat is the one that always seems to know what's going on. Its tendency to speak in confusing similes and intentionally convoluted examples makes it hard to understand what it's actually saying, though there's definately some knowledge there. Seems to completely understand exactly how Wonderland works, and why it's here... If only it would give a straight answer, it would actually be helpful.
The Mad Hatter: (Reality Equivelant: Korsakoff's Syndrome)
What comes to mind when one meets the Mad Hatter is that she definately has a strange way of thinking. Fond of making puns in the form of riddles, she can't seem to understand why others don't like them as much as she does. Quite close with the March Hare, and the two seem to constantly bounce between being the straight man and the funny man.
The March Hare: (Reality Equivelant: Androphobic)
Currently under heavy development. Gets nervous easily, and has a deadly double-kick attack for any males that get too close.
The Queen of Hearts (Reality Equivelant: Bipolar Disorder (Or DID, haven't decided yet))
The "Ruler" of Wonderland, the Queen of Hearts is quick to place the blame for all the problems Wonderland has on Alice, despite having no evidence or it even being realistic for Alice to be at fault. She seems to constantly bounce between being Alice's greatest supporter, and his worst enemy, leaving Alice unable to actually understand whatever motives she might have.
Work To Do:
Ahaha... Almost Everything. But it's still early...
*Technical*
-Coding (0% done (Not Started))
--Inputting of art (Actually needs art! Even placeholder art...)
--Backbone (6 Choices per character + 1 to determine final ending, means a 44 scene minimum)

*Research*
-Get a copy of The Annotated Alice! (Eheh...)
-Investigate hospitals in more detail
--Mental Health areas? (Done!)

-Placeholders (about 5 emotions for each character, with 10 (11?) characters, means 50-55 different pieces of art just so that he have something to put in place of actual art for coding... I might need someone to do even this. -_-;)
